BENEFITS SPECIALIST
JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for administering employee benefits programs, managing leave of absence processes, and serving as a key point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
$33.00-$38.00 hourly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Sparrow, assisting employees with leave-related benefits and ensuring smooth case management.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate benefits deductions and resolve any discrepancies.
- Oversee the leave of absence (LOA) process, including FMLA, disability, and other applicable leave programs.
- Manage the Benefits HR inbox, responding to employee inquiries and providing timely resolutions to benefits-related questions.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits administration.
- Support new hire benefits enrollment, life event changes, and annual open enrollment processes.
- Manage the firm's employee recognition program, ensuring meaningful and timely recognition initiatives.
- Assist with benefits reporting, audits, and reconciliation processes.
- Work closely with vendors and brokers to ensure efficient benefits administration.
- Provide education and support to employees regarding their benefits options and resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in benefits administration, HR, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, payroll deductions, and leave of absence policies.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems; experience with Sparrow is a plus.
