Sinks Pharmacy is a part of a fast growing, family-oriented group of independent pharmacies looking for a Full Time Long Term Care Input Pharmacy Technician to work at our Sinks Pharmacy Select Rolla location.
We are looking for a dependable, experienced Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions. You will assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision and in accordance with state and federal regulations, with technical functions in the pharmacy. Such functions may include measuring, counting, labeling, record keeping, and communicating with patients and other healthcare professionals. Ensures customer satisfaction by handling each customer in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner. We are looking for high energy technicians who are motivated, able to multitask and have excellent customer service skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow company policies and procedures including quality assurance, security issues, and confidentiality.
- Process faxes and E-script orders into Framework operating system
- Manage and process refills
- Input demographic and insurance information
- Verify insurance information and eligibility and specific drug coverage
- Work on prior authorizations and insurance over-rides
- Run appropriate batches and labels
- Bill emergency kits
- Print MARS
- Check final census, correctly totes, and prepares medications for final delivery
- Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
- Complete required training for handling hazardous materials and uses required personal protective equipment (PPE), which will be supplied to every individual.
- Retrieve and file pharmacy prescriptions in the appropriate files.
- Maintain pharmacy stock of medications by reviewing shipments for completeness, putting price tags on the products and placing the items in their appropriate shelf locations
- Maintain inventory levels by following defined ordering practices for warehouse and approved outside vendors.
- Maintain the pharmacy including performing the following duties as assigned : fill pharmacy supplies, vacuum, dust / face, wipe countertops, clean sink and breakroom area, empty trash and shred bins, clean bathroom.
- Keep product shelves and counters neat and clean. Checks items’ expiration dates and removes expired and short-dated products monthly.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Develops courteous and professional relationships with facility staff, patients, and co-workers.
- Communicate with physicians, facility staff, patients and insurance companies
- Triage patient and pharmacist related questions and channels to the appropriate person
- Ensure the accurate and timely dispensing and shipping of all prescriptions
Skills
Pharmacy technicians must be registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. Any person not currently registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician must obtain registration prior to commencing employment in a Missouri pharmacy.
