Our Crisis Clinicians meet with individuals experiencing a behavioral health emergency in local facilities and institutions including our offices, emergency rooms, police departments, etc. to complete assessments while focusing on collaboration with consumer support and recovery-oriented structures. This is a home based position that dispatches to provide community based services.
Objectives
- Crisis evaluation and disposition
- Completes mental health and substance abuse assessments/evaluations to individuals presenting in crisis or requesting face-to-face or via telehealth consultation:
- Contact a physician (Psychiatrist or Emergency Department provider) for disposition recommendations
- Documents within the patient's medical record(s) within time requirements
- Completes appropriate paperwork for processing patient assessment/ disposition and legal requirements
- Case management
- Assists team to locate available facilities outside of our local community
- Obtaining insurance authorizations
- Assists patients in connecting to our community's resources
Requirements
- Mental Health Professional or MHP (one of the following required): A bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or a related human service field; a bachelor's degree in any other field with two years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting; a practical nurse license under the Illinois Nurse Practice Act [225 ILCS 65]

Hours: every other weekend, Saturday 8:00am - 8:00pm and then Sunday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Hourly rate: $24.71-$28.72
