What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Sinus Clear?
It is the responsibility of the Front Office to Greet patients in a prompt, courteous, welcoming manner in person or on the phone. Front Staff will also instruct, direct and schedule patients and visitors, serving as a liaison between patient and medical support staff. Front Staff is the first person and last person that patients will encounter in our practice. All staff members should always demonstrate a professional, friendly appearance to our patients and patient satisfaction should always be top priority.
We are a very busy, very fast paced office. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be an excellent multi-tasker, a fast learner and be able to work autonomously.
Schedule appointments according to office policy.
Patient registration, insurance verification and collection of copays and deductibles.
Update, verify and make sure referrals are scanned and ready for clinic.
Scheduling Referrals
Keep track of Office Supply inventory. This includes, fax, printer and copier toners and drums, registration forms, credit card paper, HIPAA brochures, copy paper and normal daily office supplies.
Make sure lobby is clean and free of clutter as well as front office
Make sure all Patients are checked in quickly and efficiently.
Check incoming fax documents, notify back end immediately if there are any consults from service.
Count down moneybox and complete cash log. Answer multi-line phone system
Make patient follow up appointments prior to leaving the office.
Complete daily batch making sure all cash, checks, credit cards balance reports.
Collect copays, deductibles and patient balances.
Registration – Name for Responsible Party, Insured including employer, Social Security #, Race, Religion, Ethnicity, Marital Status, DOB, Pharmacy, Referring Doctor
Make sure patient info is updated on a regular basis and we have a new HIPAA every year
Scan Driver’s License & Ins. Card
Take Patient photo & import
Scan H&P, Registration Forms, etc.
Verify Insurance
All other duties assigned by Front Desk Supervisor.
