ISS Supervisor
Job purpose/statement: The job of the ‘ISS Supervisor’ is done for the purpose/s of providing support, monitoring, and collaboration with Admin, Counselors and the Behavior Interventionist for students with behavioral challenges.

Collects data and records anecdotal student progress notes, implements program modifications
Monitors students
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information.
Perform related duties as assigned
Duty- 40 minutes daily (meetings are duties)
Job description, but not limited to the items below:
Build relationships with students
Position has a caseload of at-risk students to check and connect with concerning grades, behaviors, and personal life
Work with teachers on strategies and plans to help students succeed
Work with staff, students, and administration to create a re-entry plan for students sent to recovery room. (i.e reteaching, tier II team, apology).
Support the student’s social, emotional, physical, and academic needs
Person in this position runs DEWS reports daily on behavior and attendance and shares with the required parties weekly. Then collaborates with MTSS to develop a plan for student meetings.
Person in this position works on strategies and plans to help students be successful in the school setting. Communicates progress with student and parents on a weekly basis (I.e. email, phone call, virtual meeting). Documents communication in the contact log in PLP.
Person in this position sets up and check in with students (CICO), explains process to staff and students, sorts the data weekly, and discuss the data with the students and the MTSS team.
Person in this position is on the MTSS team and attends weekly meetings.
Person in this position works on individualized behavior plans for students.
Continually supervise student to ensure a safe, non-threatening, nurturing environment where students can thrive.
Work with students who are sent from class go to designated recovery room, fill out refocus room form, and discuss what happened and how to prevent as well as complete work for the class they were sent from. Major/minor referrals may be written by Behavior Interventionist. Students also may be sent to grade level counselor or administration. Documentation kept in file and shared weekly at MTSS meeting.
Supervise Recovery Room, send for work for students, and discuss issues that led to placement in the RR, help with schoolwork, and send-completed work to teachers.
Caseload supported by MTSS referrals
Runs Recovery Room to support behavior plans for At-Risk students
Communicate process for going to RR
Reviews email from teacher and writes minor/major referrals depending on situation
Prepares plans for success
Provides intervention/CICO
- Recommends students to release from CICO and then out of CICO
Facilitates SAIG/Intervention groups, as assigned by Administration
Gathers recovery room data and behavior data
Creates behavior I-plans
Updates data to SWIS (A PBIS online data program)
Collects and report data to share at Tier 2 meetings
Communicates behavior data with SPED case managers if the student does not have a behavior goal
