REQUIREMENTS
Must meet the requirements of two years post high school education or higher, 48 credits, CDA, or be able to pass a standardized test approved by the state of South Dakota.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
Education Assistants will provide support for students with special needs under the direction of special education case managers in order for students to achieve their goals established for Extended School Year (ESY) services. Education Assistants will also support students with activities of daily living (e.g., bathroom, accessing the playground, moving around the building) as needed. ESY services may look different for every child. ESY services are designed to maintain skills already acquired, not to learn new skills, and all specialized instruction and related services will reflect the unique instructional needs of each child.
PAY INFORMATION
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
HOURS & FTE
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 8:00 am to 11:30 am
June 17th - 19th, plus June 16th as a work day
June 24th - 26th
Off the week of July 4th
July 8th - 10th
July 15th - 17th
July 22nd - 24th
