DIETARY AIDE
Cherokee Regional Medical Center is looking for a dependable team player with excellent customer service skills.
Position:
- Full time, 40 hours/week, 8 hour shifts
- Every other weekend
Responsibilities to be trained on:
- Provides set up and delivery of patient trays according to diet as ordered by the physician and patient menu preferences.
- A dietary aide needs to know a variety of special diets.
- The dietary aide will need to note all restrictions on patient menus.
- Have knowledge of a variety of therapeutic diets and modify menus accordingly.
- Portrays friendly service and good communication skills with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Follow a work schedule to ensure all work is completed in the allotted time frame. Take direction from dietary manager and dietitian to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Follows proper sanitation procedures including food handling and hand washing. Demonstrate good safety practices.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable
- Servsafe food handler certified or is obtained upon hire
