POSITION SUMMARY: As an HR Manager at Cherokee Regional Medical Center, your role will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks and serve as a key business partner to Department Managers as they build, train, engage and retain their teams. As a service-focused leader, you will act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics and provide a proactive, employee-led approach to resolving workplace challenges. This position plays an indispensable part in establishing, supporting and influencing the positive work culture at Cherokee Regional.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, communications, or similar field
License/Registration/Certification:
- Preferred: HR certification
Experience:
- Preferred: 2 years of HR Generalist or Manager experience
- Preferred: Previous payroll administration experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Attention to detail in an environment that has frequent interruptions
- Able to balance and adjust priorities based on organizational needs
- Strong customer service skills – responsive to requests
- Highest levels of confidentiality are required
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems will be a plus
- Excellent communication, conflict management and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leads talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Ensures accurate, timely and thorough employee on-boarding.
- Supports administration of compensation and benefit plans.
- Conducts employee onboarding and helps organize training and development initiatives.
- Provides support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Leads employee engagement activities.
- Promotes HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- .Enhances job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities.
- Investigates employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution.
- Conducts HRIS administration and audits ensuring compliance, comprehensive data entry, data integrity, and ongoing, accurate reporting.
- Assists with HRIS development, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Administers workers compensation program.
- Offboards employees for resignations and terminations.
- Assists in development and implementation of human resource policies.
- Undertakes tasks around performance management.
- Organizes employee performance reviews.
- Gathers and analyzes data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
- Maintains employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
- Ensures compliance with human resource, labor and payroll related regulations.
