What are the responsibilities and job description for the operator/scheduler position at Siouxland Community Health Center?
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will have solid experience and advanced knowledge of electronic medical/health records (EMR), basic computer skills, and a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Bilingual Spanish proficiency is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls using the overhead paging system.
- Access the practice management system to inform patients of appointment information.
- Formulate phone notes from patient calls in EMR.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate communication between patients and staff.
- Assist patients in completing necessary intake forms at initial visits.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer skills with EMR experience a plus.
- Previous phone experience a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred.
