We like to make people feel comfortable and relaxed in our Spa and overall have a great experience. As a Make-up Artist, you want to be viewed as a knowledgeable professional in the industry. Having your certification ensures you are confident and consistently deliver beautiful, long-lasting results.
Make-up Artist A make-up artist, also called a make-up artist, and often shortened to MUA, is an artist whose medium is the human body, applying makeup and prosthetics on others for theatre, television, film, fashion, magazines and other similar productions including all aspects of the modeling industry.
- Communicate with clients regarding specific requirements and concerns
- Sketch design ideas for makeup
- Communicate with other members of the makeup design team to ensure continuity is achieved
- Consider lighting, backdrops, colors, and the photographic process for each assignment
- Maintain an awareness of health, safety, and sanitation issues
- Update and maintain a kit of cosmetics, beauty products, and tools
- Pay close attention to time constraints and achieve superior time management
- Maintain a current portfolio of work
- Creates excellent experience for guests with a charismatic, friendly, and helpful attitude
- Provides frequency recommendations and education to guests on proper skin aftercare
- A positive, friendly, upbeat and personable demeanor and attitude
- A customer service-oriented individual who can communicate effectively with clients, studio management and coworkers
- A professional appearance at all times
Thrives in a fun, team-oriented environment. Must be proficient in: Skincare
- Color theory
- Face shapes, skin types, hair and eye color
- Contouring and highlighting
- Makeup blending techniques
- Corrective makeup techniques
- Application and techniques of foundations, eyeliners, primers, concealers, false lashes, eyebrow shaping and coloring, lip lining and lip color, blush, etc.
- Special event/bridal makeup
- Makeup for broadcast and photography
- Day and evening makeup looks
- Theater and stage makeup
