Asphalt Crew Laborer

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities & Duties:

• The asphalt laborer will be responsible for maintaining asphalt production equipment, including paving machines and hot boxes.
• Sweep and clean the area in front of the paver;  assist the screed operator
• Shovel, Rake, and Lute asphalt behind paver
• Work as a flagger to direct motorist away from the work zone.
• May perform general Asphalt labor duties

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pass pre-employment screen and criminal background check
• Previous work experience in construction or related as an asphalt laborer or flagger.
• Ability to work as part of a team,

Job Summary:

The Asphalt Laborer is responsible for preparing the job site and performing manual labor such as digging, cleaning, shoveling, raking.   The main task of the asphalt laborer is to look after the mat; this includes raking, sweeping, and lining of the road and Parking lots.  Will also work alongside the tractor, miller, paver and screed.
