Paving Equipment Operator

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• uses specialized machines to lay asphalt over a surface. 
• Performs minor routine maintenance on paving machines and other paving equipment and tools.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning prior to starting work.
• Prior to every use, evaluate the equipment and confirm that the equipment from a mechanical and safety standpoint is ready to use.

Job Summary:

The Operator’s primary function is to operate the asphalt machines that lay and finish asphalt.  This may include but is not limited to all; Pavers, Rollers, and/or Skid steer's.  May perform manual labor such as showing, spreading gravel and maintaining equipment. The operator must perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues to a supervisor.
