Position Overview: This role begins as a trainee and progresses to a full-time position as you gain skills and knowledge through provided training. As a Restoration Technician, you will specialize in restoring tile, grout, and stone surfaces found in both residential and commercial settings, including kitchens, bathrooms, foyers, lobbies, showers, and countertops. You'll also have the opportunity to increase your income through bonus opportunities.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks related to tile, caulking, and stonework.
- Conduct initial job walk-through and obtain final customer sign-off for each project.
- Collect payment upon job completion and communicate results to your manager.
- Utilize our customer training and technical knowledge to upsell additional services.
- Request referrals from satisfied customers to help grow our business.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock of the Sir Grout van and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Punctuality is essential.
- Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds.
- Possess a friendly and optimistic attitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Prior experience in tile installation, home construction/trades is a significant plus.
- Home improvement aptitude or skills (e.g., tiling, painting, caulking, flooring, drywall, basic carpentry) is advantageous.
Requirements:
- Willingness to undergo a background test, including a drug screening.
- Possession of a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to safely and legally park a Sir Grout van at your residence.
- Occasional availability to work on Saturdays or nights (planned in advance, not frequent).
- Must have a working smartphone.
