Sir Lines-A-Lot provides traffic control services and pavement markings on roads and parking lots. Our company has recently grown to 150 employees, and we are looking for a Traffic Control Supervisor to join us on our Traffic Control Operations team. We have locations in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Iowa. This position will work in our Edina office.
This position is primarily responsible for assisting in planning, coordinating projects, and aiding the growth of our traffic control division within the Minnesota market. Responsibilities include setup of traffic control equipment, bid prep, cost control, and leading crews on assigned projects. This position will work in both field and office environments and assume responsibility for designated projects assigned by management. Anticipated 90% field 10% office split.

Schedule and coordinate equipment and manpower needs while creating clear and obtainable objectives.Coordinate and communicate work activity for onsite personnel and overall management of work zone operations.Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to laborers.Assure production and contract terms are met or exceeded within the constraints of the bid estimate.Monitor and direct the progress in the field while maintaining superior quality, affordability, and safety.Accomplish the stated project objectives within the stipulated time.Ensure that tasks are completed in accordance with all applicable company, local, state, and federal rules, and regulations.Effectively communicate problems or concerns to the Foreman, Project Supervisor or Safety Manager.Maintain work zone safety from start to finish.Perform actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at job sites.Records license number of traffic control violators for police.Complete daily logs (vehicle, time, project, etc.) timely and accurately.Perform traffic control; follow safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices; safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic movements in a work area; duties may vary according to job assignment.Maintain ongoing compliance with DOT, OCIP, and OSHA rules and regulations.Other duties as assigned by management.Key Personal Qualifications :

MNDot Traffic Control Supervisor Certification / ATSSA Certification Card requiredDriver's License Required ( CDL preferred and / or ability to obtain )High School Diploma / GED ( preferred )2 years' experience in a road construction environmentPavement Marking knowledge / experience ( preferred )Permanent sign installation and post pounding ( preferred )Sign Room experience ( preferred )Ability to obtain a Dot / Non-DOT health cardGood computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook ( preferred )Job Type : Hourly, Full-time, Mon - Fri, (weekends as necessary) hours may vary with the seasonality of the business.
