We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician for a project-based role. The technician will handle decommissioning, NVMe installations, ePDU configurations, racking, cabling, and fiber management in a fast-paced data center environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decommissioning: Remove servers and update asset records per security protocols.
- NVMe Installations: Install and configure NVMe drives, performing diagnostic tests via Linux commands.
- ePDU Configuration: Set IP addresses, verify asset records, and ensure proper power distribution.
- Racking & Cabling: Rack switches, process SSDs at ERAD locations, and manage fiber/network cabling.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, monitor ticket queues, and provide status updates.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- 3–4 years of data center experience.
- Hands-on expertise in hardware installation, decommissioning, and cabling.
- Familiarity with NVMe storage, ePDUs, and network switch configurations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow technical documentation.
- Preferred:
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Experience with IT asset management tools.
- Certifications (CompTIA Server , Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
