Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our clients in various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of computer systems, software troubleshooting, and the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently. The Field Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their technology needs are met and maintained.
Duties
- Provide on-site technical support for hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and applications.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory.
- Perform routine maintenance on Windows Server environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux systems as needed.
- Assist with help desk inquiries and provide timely responses to client requests.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Document all service requests, resolutions, and follow-up actions in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery processes.
Skills
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of computer management practices.
- Experience with software troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with Active Directory for user management.
- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction.
- Previous experience in technical support or help desk environments is preferred.
