Pharmacy Clerk/Cashier

Siren Pharmacy is seeking a dependable Pharmacy Clerk/Cashier. The position is responsible for accurately counting and filling a prescription, patient workflow, financial transactions utilizing a register with point of sale software, learning the basics of prescription processing, maintaining a clean environment, shelf facing, and ensuring the pharmacy maintains adequate supply of non-prescription items. The pharmacy clerk will undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As a pharmacy clerk you must be detail-oriented, able to focus in a busy environment, and triage customer needs with workflow. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers including keyboarding and typing.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize surfaces and equipment
• Greet customers on the telephone/in person, assist with questions, and complete a sales transaction at the register
• Receive prescriptions
• Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
• Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory
• Undertake administrative tasks (e.g.record-keeping) as assigned
• Comply with all security measures and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in a pharmacy environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in healthcare and/or pharmacy is preferred but not required
• Must maintain confidentiality
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Reliable with a keen eye for detail
• Navigate on a computer and ****must be able to type proficiently****
• Detail-oriented, able to focus in a busy environment, and triage customers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
