What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Dental Assistant position at Siri Family & Cosmetic Dentistry?
We are a busy, fast paced, private dental practice in Allentown in need of a bilingual (english and spanish) Dental Assistant. We are looking for the right person to join our office! Must love dentistry, be hardworking and see themselves as an important part of a successful team. Must have exceptional chair-side manner, be enthusiastic, friendly personality, be able to multi task with attention to detail, and must be a team player.
Some requirements of the Dental Assistant may include but not limited to:
- Prepare and arrange needed tools and instruments for scheduled procedures.
- Prepare the operatory and seat the patient.
- Clean and sterilize/sanitize the operatory and equipment, as well as changing all supplies after treatment of each patient.
- Participate in inventory protocol to insure the office is properly supplied at all times.
- Clean lab and sterilization room.
- Take X-rays (Certification needed).
- Take dental impressions and create lab slips.
- Assist with tasks provided by office manager during any downtime usually includes shredding paper, possibly helping with phone calls and scheduling patients.
- Looking to hire full-time positions for Monday-Friday (friday is in another office in Bethlehem).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Certified in taking Dental Xrays
- Skilled in knowledge and application of dental anatomy
- Skilled in preparation and dental setup by procedure
- Skilled in proper sterilization techniques
- Skilled in OSHA maintenance
- Skilled in Chairside Assisting to doctor
- Skilled in the knowledge of dental procedures and being able to explain the process to a patient.

Required experience: Dental Assisting: 1 year
Required language: Spanish (half of our patient's are spanish speaking)
License or certification: PA DENTAL X-RAY CERTIFICATION
