Job Description
Title : ER Technician
Location White Plains NY
Job type : Fulltime Benefits
Work Schedule : Day and Evening ( MonSun alternating weekends and holidays).
Summary :
Partner with the healthcare team to provide exceptional care and critical thinking skills. Under the direction of the RN the ER Technician provides direct and indirect care assists in managing behavioural health patients and participates in infection control and quality metrics.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Provide exceptional patient care and service.
Perform duties such as vital signs intake and output monitoring simple dressings set up for exams and transportation.
Obtain blood specimens and place patients on cardiac monitors.
Participate in Performance Improvement Initiatives.
Collaborate with the healthcare team and communicate any patient concerns.
Attend mandatory inservice and staff meetings.
Perform Phlebotomy and transport patients as needed.
Ensure stock and supplies are maintained.
Work with patients of all ages.
Education & Experience Requirements :
High School Diploma / Equivalency.
Previous patient care experience required.
Enrolled in a nursing program or other healthrelated field preferred.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
Competency in Phlebotomy.
Complete deescalation training within one year of hire.

Physical / Mental Demands / Requirements & Work Environment :
May be exposed to chemicals and must move heavy objects frequently.
Concentrate on fine details with interruptions and attend to tasks for extended periods.
Detect objects closely and far away and detect normal sounds with background
