Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes and coding procedures.
Duties
- Utilize medical coding to ensure accurate billing
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims
- Review and appeal denied claims
- Maintain patient billing records
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing issues
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and insurance guidelines
Experience
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG coding systems.
- Experience in medical billing, collections, and office procedures.
- Knowledge of medical insurance processes and reimbursement policies.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is a plus.
