Under general supervision, obtains two-dimensional ultrasonic images of the heart including 2D echocardiograms, 2D Doppler echocardiograms, and stress echocardiograms and assists physicians in conducting transesophageal echocardiograms. In doing so, obtains pertinent patient data for interpretation by a board-certified cardiologist, explains purpose and duration of testing to the patient in order to allay fears.Qualifications Min 1 year exp as a cardiac sonographer. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) , AHA BLSNote : Aquarius Institute candidates do not train on pts.
