SIRIS is seeking a dynamic and motivated Architect (AIA) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) to join our team as a Construction Manager to support construction services for Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) at the VA Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. We welcome candidates from any engineering discipline. This role requires a seasoned professional with construction management experience on active sites and will report directly to the Program Director. You will collaborate closely with VA client staff, providing valuable data and generating comprehensive reports.

Key Responsibilities
As an Architect or Engineer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of design, engineering, and construction professionals, acting as the Owner's representative from the design phase through construction and project closeout. Your responsibilities will include:
- Pre-Design/Design Phase:
- Scheduling and planning
- Value engineering and market analysis
- Constructability and phasing reviews
- Construction Period Phase:
- Establishing temporary field offices
- Monitoring project financials and budgetary cost accounting
- Coordinating construction phase scheduling and progress meetings
- Managing RFIs, change orders, and conflict resolution with contractors.
- Overseeing commissioning and additional construction-related services
- Conducting claims analysis and resolution services
- Education: A licensed professional with a Bachelor of Architecture (for Architects) or relevant engineering degree (for Engineers) from an accredited institution.
- Licensing: Architect must hold AIA or RA (any state); Engineer must hold P.E. (any discipline, any state).
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in design and construction, specifically within medical facilities.
- Knowledge: Proficient in local, state, and federal regulations, construction contract documents, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Leadership: Strong ability to supervise and manage personnel with diverse skill sets.
