SENIOR ARCHITECT/ENGINEER - MAJOR HEALTHCARE CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMS

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Salary: $115K - $125K

SIRIS seeks a motivated Senior Architect/Engineer to join our team on a VA Medical Center Construction Program in Nashville, Tennessee. This position will report to the program director and collaborate with and assist VA client staff in providing data and generating reports.

Responsibilities

The Senior Architect/Engineer will lead a team of design, engineering, and construction professionals as well as act as the Owner's representative from design through construction and closeout. The Senior Architect/Engineer will be required to learn, teach, and implement industry and SIRIS best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the healthcare environment. The Senior Architect/Engineer will require experience leading and mentoring a team of professionals and experience as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives). The Senior Architect/Engineer, along with other SIRIS program team members, will provide design and construction management services as part of traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts. Pre-Design/Design Phase

i. Scheduling

iv. Market Analysis

v. Constructability and Phasing Review

Construction Period Phase

i. Establishing temporary field offices

ii. Monitoring project financial data and budgetary cost accounting

iii. Construction Phase scheduling

iv. Progress Meetings

v. Assisting in issue resolution.

vi. Testing and Inspection Services

vii. Commissioning

viii. Performing additional construction-related services

ix. Claims Analysis and Resolution Services

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Architecture/Engineering from an accredited school of higher education.

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in both design and construction with a focus on medical facilities.

• Knowledge: Able to quickly understand and master

  • Requirements of local state and federal jurisdictions in relation to the Project.

  • Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and Drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements.

  • Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project's success.

• Leadership: Must possess the skillset and competency to supervise and manage personnel of diverse skill sets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with managing project teams on Federal government projects.

• CCM, PMP certifications

• Licensing: PE, AIA, or RA (any state)
