Corporate Accountant
Location: Cordova, TN
Job Type: Full-time, On-site
Salary Range: $68,000 - $75,000
Job Summary
As a Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Corporate Accounting Team by providing analytical and accounting expertise across various corporate divisions. You will gain a deep understanding of accounting cycles, company policies, and operations, with the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in a specific business area. This role also involves training other accountants and preparing financial reports for senior finance leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and execute month-end, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and conduct analytical reviews of income statement accounts to ensure transaction accuracy.
- Support corporate functions and FP&A in budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring proper expense allocation.
- Assist with SOX compliance and provide support for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with finance and other internal teams to improve accounting processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOX standards.
- Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience (preferred).
- CPA certification or plans to obtain CPA licensure (a plus).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Oracle, JDE, or a comparable ERP system preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS principles.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating accountability, teamwork, sound judgment, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
