Surgical Staff Trainer - Full-time, On-Site
At Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center, we feel that all of our patients are athletes. All you have to do is watch a pet spring off your bed or bolt up a flight of stairs to see how truly athletic they are. Whether your athlete is a champion agility dog or a family pet, they will be treated as if it were our own. In our state-of-the-art facility, our hospital features four operating suites and multi-parameter monitoring equipment to ensure the highest standards of patient care. We have a dedicated sterile processing area and a separate post-operative recovery room to streamline surgical workflows and recovery. Additionally, our advanced imaging capabilities include digital radiography, computed tomography (CT), a C-Arm, and Mindray WATO EX-35 anesthesia systems which enable precise diagnostics and treatment planning.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are seeking a confident, motivated, and hardworking Surgical Staff Trainer to join our team. The Surgical Staff Trainer should possess advanced knowledge in all aspects of veterinary medicine, including animal care, diagnostic techniques, anesthesia, surgical preparation, and emergency care. They should be able to communicate complex procedures and protocols clearly and accurately. They will be expected to demonstrate techniques, ensure proper technique execution by trainees, and correct mistakes in real time. They should reinforce compliance with state regulations, veterinary laws, and best practices.
WHAT YOU'LL DO :
The Surgical Staff Trainer focuses on the following :
- Training and developing clinical support staff, including Veterinary Assistants, LVTs, and Sterile Processing Technicians through an emphasis on anesthesia and surgical techniques.
- Creating and delivering engaging training materials.
- Mentoring and training new hires.
- Ensure staff competency in patient care and surgical procedures.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR :
Requirements : You must currently hold (or be eligible for) a Nebraska Veterinary Technician License.
Pay : $26-$28 / hour DOE
