Join Our Team
You will be our Investment Accountant and will an integral part of an accounting team that supports a $7B portfolio made of Fixed Income and Alternative Investment asset classes. You will report to the Manager of Financial and Investment Accounting and will work closely with the internal investment manager.
Your responsibilities will include the following :
- Processing monthly and quarterly journal bookings, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations primarily relating to investment transactions and accounts.
- Assisting in the preparation and review of the US GAAP financial statement investment disclosures & MD&A for the SEC 10Q / 10K.
- Assisting in the preparation and review of US Statutory investment schedules.
- Assisting in the preparation and review of rating agency and capital analyses.
- Assisting in the determination of the proper accounting treatment of complex transactions.
- Implementing, documenting, and maintaining appropriate processes and controls in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Managing internal and external audit requests.
- Supporting various treasury related activities.
- Preparing material for management and board committee presentation.
- Participating in process improvement and ad hoc projects as required including opportunities beyond investment accounting.

SALARY : The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, SiriusPoint will consider a candidate's relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
