How you'll make an impact:
The Vice President, Sourcing & Procurement, will provide high-level strategic leadership in sourcing and procurement, driving best practices and transformational initiatives across diverse spend categories. This role will lead efforts to optimize partnerships with key vendors and partners critical to delivering SiriusXM's innovative products and services. Collaborating with technical, product, and business leaders, the candidate will establish and manage partner relationships, negotiate impactful deals, and ensure operational and contractual compliance.
The role focuses on strategic oversight, end-to-end process leadership, and fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence, enabling teams to deliver scalable solutions that drive organizational spend management. What you'll do:
Develop and implement global sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with SiriusXM's organizational objectives.
Drive efficiencies in procurement operations to deliver measurable process improvements and cost savings.
Partner with stakeholders to drive technology sourcing strategies across key spend areas, including SaaS, Cloud, and indirect categories.
Build and maintain relationships with key vendors / partners and internal partners (Tech, Data, Engineering, Product, Commercial, Marketing, FP&A, and Legal), ensuring optimal service delivery and alignment with business goals.
Conduct complex negotiations and execute high-value contracts leveraging the company's market position and scale.
Cultivate a deep understanding of supply market trends, emerging technologies, and evolving sourcing strategies.
Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives, including RFx processes, from requirements gathering through implementation.
Lead strategic initiatives to monitor supplier performance, enforce compliance, and optimize value through structured supplier relationship management (SRM).
Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO), should-cost, and cost-to-build analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Seamlessly transition between engaging with technical stakeholders and presenting updates to senior executives.
Develop and execute complex negotiation strategies, leveraging SiriusXM's economy of scale and market position to extract the most value for SiriusXM.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain. An MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are preferred.
15 years of progressive leadership experience in sourcing, procurement, or business operations, including expertise in technology categories such as SaaS, Cloud, and IT services.
Leadership Excellence: Proven ability to direct, motivate, and empower teams to achieve organizational goals, ensuring efficient resource allocation across multiple functions. Demonstrated capacity to make high-complexity decisions autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic Expertise: Experience in management consulting or high-growth consumer technology industries is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of scaling operations and driving innovation.
Track record of leading and executing complex negotiations, multi-disciplinary projects, and high-value contracts with measurable outcomes.
Strong analytical, project management, and presentation skills, with a focus on influencing decision-making and aligning cross-functional teams.
Deep knowledge of sourcing frameworks, supplier relationship management (SRM), and spend analytics tools (e.g., Jaggaer or equivalent).
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment with exceptional attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a results-oriented mindset.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to drive alignment and engagement across technical, product, and business teams.
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $200,000 to $285,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
