Currently hiring for 3rd Shift 10pm - 6am starting at $18/hr with a $1 shift differential.

Job Summary for Quality Lab Technician

Sirmax North America Inc is looking for qualified 2, Quality Lab Technicians for our state of the art facility in Anderson, IN. The Quality Lab Technician is responsible for testing our products for quality assurance to our customers. The Quality Lab Technician will be responsible for making minor adjustments in order produce a high quality polypropylene pellets that our world wide customers have come to expect from the Sirmax Group. The Quality Lab Technician must have be able to work in a team as well as solo at times and must be able to pay great attention to detail.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE Quality Lab Technician

• Test physical samples throughout the production chain
• Verify accuracy of labeling
• Monitor each stage of production
• Inspecting materials for defects
• Calibrate and maintain all gauges and test machines
• Perform routine testing to ensure quality and adherence to regulations and standards
• Releases materials by evaluating all results and visual inspection methods, determining status of non-shippable or usable material
• Maintains quality service by following organizational standards
• Use of necessary software when needed to complete the job
• Other duties as assigned

Quality Lab Technician ABILITY AND SKILLS

• Proficiency in: Microsoft Office and SAP
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills
• Use of industry specific software

Quality Lab Technician EDUCATION

• College or Technical Degree (or equivalent gained from 3 years of experience)
• High school diploma.

Quality Lab Technician PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing and or walking
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lb
• Computer usage. 90%
