What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist position at Sirott Properties?
We are looking for someone to manage/reduce our current collection activity. We are a property management and operate multi-family apartment buildings throughout Southern California. This role involves daily contact with our tenants who are past due on rent. We also have tenants on payment plans and tenant with legal stipulations. This position will work with our legal professionals on assigning evictions. Looking for a candidate that has a positive attitude, highly organized, compassionate yet firm on setting expectations with tenants. Candidates that are bi-lingual (Spanish) and previous property management experience are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities
· Contact current and past tenants regarding past due rent payments. We have rental software that allows you to contact our tenants via phone, email or text.
· Maintain notes on collection activities for large volume of tenants
· Train our on-site managers with standardized notice forms 3-day notice to pay or vacate, 24-hour notice to enter and our annual notice of rent increase
· Communicate with case workers if needed on rent subsidized evictions
· Communicate with legal and on-site managers for lock outs
· Create and manage monthly excel collection/eviction data
· Perform other related duties as assigned
This position is in our office in La Verne our office hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm. We may consider a full time or part time applicant with exceptional follow up skills. This position pays an hourly rate no commission.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
