Summary
The boiler technician is an hourly position and is required to monitor, adjust, and maintain operation of a variety of plant equipment. The position addresses the work areas of hydraulics, pneumatics, potable water, steam distribution, boilers, water systems and pumping systems. Responsibilities vary across several types of equipment and systems.
Requirements of this position?
Boiler Technicians must have City of Omaha 3rd Grade Engineers License Minimum of one (1) year of maintenance work experience documented in the work history section of the application OR be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. Can be a combination of employers, as long as experience is at least one (1) year.; must have PSM experience.
What are the nice-to-have skills?
Requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as basic electrical, electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and manufacturing processes. Self-motivated and able to work alone without supervision; follow instructions, adapt readily to changes, and work well with others.
