We’re looking for a part-time assistant editor with at least one year of experience in DaVinci Resolve. If you have less than a year of experience but a genuine passion for editing, you’re welcome to apply. This role is primarily remote, but working in person at our studio once a week is required. Meeting face-to-face helps us stay in sync creatively and logistically.
In 2024, we traveled to the UK and France to document multiple episodes that are now in post-production. As the Creative Director, I’m currently handling every aspect of post: logging media, organizing bins, editing, sound design and mixing, color grading, and graphics. I’m looking for an assistant editor to help streamline the workflow so we can both do our best work at every stage of the process.
I want a collaborator—not just someone who follows instructions, but someone who asks questions, offers ideas, and wants to make each project better.
Our studio is located near Hackettstown, NJ. You must be able to commute here once a week.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Logging media and organizing bins.
- Creating and editing multi-cam clips.
- Cleaning up audio bleed between multiple speakers.
We provide:
- MacBook Pro with DaVinci Resolve Studio.
- SSD, Logic MX3 mouse, keyboard, and external monitor.
It’s a plus if you can:
- Make minor adjustments in the Color page.
- Create simple graphics in Fusion.
Training and resources:
- I’ll teach you everything I know in person.
- You’ll have access to the DaVinci Resolve Editor’s online course by Team2Films.
- You’ll also get access to a Fusion course by Casey Faris.
Salary : $15 - $18
