Siskin Home- and Community-Based Early Interventionists ("home visitors") work to implement support-based home visits to families enrolled in the Tennessee Early Intervention System and collaborative consultation to child care using the Family-Guided Routine-based Intervention model (FGRBI). Home visitors report to the Director of the Home- and Community-Based Early Intervention program.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications for a home visitor are a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies, Early Intervention or related field (as outlined by contract with TEIS) and experience working with young children. Hiring preference is given to those holding a master's degree or working on obtaining a master's degree. Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance throughout employment and provide copies of documentation when requested. Must also have an acceptable MVR record. Fluent in the Spanish language is highly desired.

Job Requirements
- Carry a caseload and provide direct service to a minimum of 16 to 20 FTE families at all times
- In collaboration with service coordinators, (a) assess the child's and family's needs and priorities, b) provide information on child development as requested by the family and monitor child progress toward IFSP goals, and c) support the family in implementing interventions in the child's daily activities using a family-guided coaching model.
- Provide collaborative consultation with community-based teachers of children on the caseload to ensure the children have many learning opportunities throughout a day to meet their IFSP goals
- Fulfill all reporting requirements of Tennessee Early Intervention System, including: (a) Initial home visit with families occur within 30-calendar days from the day of services to begin on IFSP; (b) Entries into the Tennessee Early Intervention Data System occur within 3 workdays from date of service; (c) maintain 75% attendance rate with all families.
- Collect data on progress toward meeting IFSP child and family goals
- Adhere to all Siskin Children's Institute and Home- and Community-based Early Intervention Program policy
- Attend and actively participate in job-related functions, including (a) scheduled monthly meetings; (b) scheduled supervised home visits; (c) scheduled joint home visits with interns and guests as requested.
- Positively represent Siskin Children's Institute to families, professionals and the general public
- Actively seek professional development and learning opportunities, and provide documentation of a minimum of 42 hours of training per calendar year
