Key Responsibilities
- Administer and direct appropriate physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members.
- Accurately document patient progress and treatment plans.
- Maintain a professional and ethical approach in accordance with the APTA Code of Ethics and Siskin’s Philosophy of Service.
- Supervise PT and PTA students and offer mentorship and clinical supervision.
- Collaborate daily with a diverse team of healthcare providers, patients, families, and visitors.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physical Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Experience: No prior experience required, but a passion for patient care is a must!
- Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee.
- Certification: Ongoing CPR certification and passing the annual UDS PI credentialing exam.
- Skills: Willingness to continue learning, ability to work well with others, and comfort in giving/receiving constructive feedback.
- Competencies: Minimal computer skills preferred. Physical agility and strong communication skills.
- Maneuver patients with varying weights and functional abilities to assist with transfers and mobility activities.
- Perform physical tasks like patient positioning and equipment setup.
- Ability to stand, sit, and move in various positions for extended periods.
- Create a safe and supportive environment for patients, coworkers, and visitors.
