Job Summary
Under general supervision of a classroom teacher, the Teacher Assistant supports a program that allows students to participate in their environment as independently as possible. The Teacher Assistant supports the instruction, care, and supervision of developmentally, communicatively, or physically disabled children and youth. This position may include serving incarcerated youth. The scope of duties includes a variety of general classroom assistance, physical assistance, and specialized health care assistance.
This position is located at Happy Camp Elementary.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any of the following will fulfill the requirement :
- Associate's degree or higher
- Forty-eight (48) semester units (or equivalent quarter units) at an institute of higher education
- Passing score on basic skills competency test provided by SCOE
