Job Duties:
- Creating, managing, and deploying operating system images for laptops and desktops within an organization
- Responsible for ensuring that devices are configured correctly, secure, and ready for use
- Deploying images to new or refurbished laptops and desktops, often using tools like SCCM or Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
- Diagnosing and resolving issues related to imaging, deployments, and device drivers.
- Ensuring that images are secure and comply with organizational security policies.
- Deploying and configuring networking aspects of the imaging process using protocols like DHCP and DNS
Skills and Knowledge:
- Operating System Expertise: Strong knowledge of Windows or other operating systems commonly used in the organization.
- Imaging Tools: Proficiency in using imaging tools like Sysprep, Windows ICD, and DISM.
- Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell, VBScript, or batch scripting.
- Networking: Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts relevant to imaging deployments.
