Pet Groomer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer and Mobile pet groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong desire to provide exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations. This role requires a combination of technical skills, animal handling expertise, and a friendly demeanor to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards or client preferences.
• Assess the condition of each pet’s coat and skin, identifying any potential health issues that may require veterinary attention.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and grooming options.
• Handle animals safely and compassionately, using appropriate restraint techniques when necessary.
• Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends in the industry to provide the best service possible.
• Assist with other pet care tasks as needed, including dog training, pet sitting, or general animal care.

Skills

• Proficient in pet grooming techniques with experience in handling various breeds of dogs and cats.
• Knowledge of animal behavior and handling practices to ensure safety for both the groomer and the pet.
• Familiarity with dog training methods is a plus, enhancing your ability to work with different temperaments.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
