Rapids, IA Full Time
POSTED ON 4/1/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/31/2025

Overview

As an RN are you rushing from patient to patient with only time to quickly get to treatments and dispense meds? Do you want the opportunity to take your time while you're caring for someone? At Sisters of Mercy, you will care for the amazing Sisters who have dedicated their lives to service. While attending to them, you don't have to feel rushed or rush the attention you give. This type of care helps our elderly Sisters feel comfortable, and it helps them maintain their dignity.

In our retirement convents you can sit with the Sisters and give them the extra attention they deserve. We do not have large nurse-to-patient ratios like those in other facilities. You can get to know who you are taking care of, as well as their families. Everyone who works at Sisters of Mercy agrees that this role becomes something much more than a job.

The Registered Nurse provides case management by providing and coordinating medical needs for the Sisters of Mercy members. The RN works collaboratively with individual Sisters to assess, plan, facilitate, and advocate for options and services to meet their medical and health needs. The Case Manager assists in communication, education, identification of service resources, and service facilitation.

Sustained and inspired by their relationship with God and one another, the mission of the Sisters of Mercy is to respond with vision and compassion to the needs of people who are poor, sick, and uneducated. This mission serves as a motivational force in the day-to-day activities of the employees of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas and as we extend compassion and mercy to others, practice and encourage social justice, and strive to live mercifully.
