We offer employees a rewarding environment as well as opportunities for personal and professional growth. We're currently hiring for PRN Night Shift Nurses (12-hour shifts, 6p-6a) to join our team! This position will be responsible for a wide variety of patient care functions ensuring for the care and comfort of the residents in our Lourdes Hall and Assisted Living facility.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Functions as the Charge Nurse, including supervising other Lourdes Hall Staff under the supervision of the Director of Healthcare (DOH).
- Assesses and monitors residents condition and takes appropriate action, including all necessary documentation and communication to Director of Healthcare and nurse on the next shift.
- Prepares, administers, records and orders all medications in a safe, appropriate, and timely manner following the policy regarding administration of medications.
- Ensures medication administration records (MARS) are complete and accurate each month.
- Supports the philosophy and policies of the Sisters of Notre Dame and interprets to staff as necessary.
- Willing to work weekends and holidays.
Knowledge, Skills and Professional Training Required
- Current license to practice as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Maintains licensure in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and presents a copy of license with each annual renewal.
- Two years successful experience in the field of nursing and/or gerontology.
