POSITION SUMMARY :
The Sisters of St. Joseph are looking for a Benefits Specialist who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Five (5) years related benefit human resources experience
Experience in using ADP HRIS system preferred
Knowledge of ACA
Demonstrates proficiency in all MS office applications
Outstanding oral, written, interpersonal communication skills
Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
Strategic thinking, leadership skills, financial management.
Attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Includes, but is not limited to, the following :
Ensures the accuracy of all benefit functions, including eligibility, enrollment, reporting, terminations, and employee qualifying life events that affect benefits.
Responsible for benefits administration to include health, dental, vision, COBRA, FSA, STD, LTD, FMLA, PFL, workers' compensation, 403(b) and pension enrollments, etc.
Creates, manages, and ensures the accuracy of all employee benefit plans and deductions in the HRIS payroll system.
First point of contact for benefit inquires and assists the HR Director during open enrollment
Responsible for reconciliations and payment of bills for benefit programs offered.
Maintains knowledge of industry trends and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all benefit matters.
Responsible for collections of premiums due from employees while on LOA or terminated employees on COBRA.
Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent employee information to assure compliance.
Prepares reports related to headcount, benefits, ACA, training, anniversaries, OSHA, 403B contributions and EEO reporting.
Completes EEO and OSHA logs annually.

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift brochures, open filing cabinets, bend, carry, push, pull. This is a sedentary position that involves sitting most of the time except when utilizing the copy machine, attending events or participating in presentations where standing is required for extended period. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
