Assistant Director of Nursing (RN)- Full-Time
Sisters of the Holy Cross, Inc., located on the beautiful Saint Mary’s College campus in Notre Dame, IN has a full-time (32 hour a week) exempt salaried Assistant Director of Nursing position open.
This is a unique opportunity to lead our team of nurses in serving the Sisters. You will assist with planning, organizing, and developing clinical operations of nursing services to care for retired members of the Congregation of Holy Cross Sisters in our “home-like” atmosphere. With your leadership skills you will assist the Director of Nursing in guiding and directing best practices for clinical care, quality improvement, and training and development for the nursing staff. The Assistant Director of Nursing will provide nursing care on the units assisting with hands on staff training and development. The Assistant Director of Nursing will be responsible for oversight of Worker’s Compensation, Infection Control, payroll of Resident Services staff, administering TB tests for new hires, conducting care conferences and following up with hospital admissions and discharges, and working closely with the Director of Nursing on vaccine clinics.

- Continuous learner who stays up to date on current trends and practices. Has experience with comprehensive quality improvement plans to implement and evaluate health services.
- Five (5) years clinical experience that includes work with an elderly population including at least three (3) years of long-term care experience. Minimum of three (3) years supervisor/management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Must possess and maintain a current Indiana RN license.
