Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Spiritual Care Companion located in Trotwood, OH. The Spiritual Care Companion will be responsible for providing pastoral care and support for our retired Sisters residing at Salem Heights or other health centers. The purpose of this position is to provide for the spiritual life of the Sisters in retirement, allowing them to live fully their vowed, consecrated life. The Spiritual Care Companion works as a team member with the Administrator of Salem Heights and the Health and Wellness Coordinator / Nurse Advocate.
Education and Experience
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Ministry or a related field, possess the ability to motivate Sisters with their journey of aging in the right place, and is an effective and sensitive communicator. Prior pastoral ministry, counseling and / or spiritual direction is preferred, especially ministry with a geriatric population. Being a practicing Roman Catholic woman is a requirement.
