What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Manager position at SISTERS WHO CARE LLC?
- Oversight of the day to day functioning of a supported living location ensuring oversight of each individual service plan and documentation of all activities and tasks.
- · Oversight and coordination of site staffing needs including running medical appointments.
- · Supervise Direct Support Specialists. Serve as a primary source for conducting performance appraisals, and providing regular feedback and guidance. Maintain complete documentation on personnel actions. Ensure employees receive the proper training for the assigned position.
- · Ensure the health and welfare of participants by assisting with activities of daily living, supervising appropriate diet and medication/health needs, intervening in crisis situations, and assisting consumers to engage in their communities.
- · Ensure all medications are on site.
- · Communicate with Executive Director, families, friends, guardians, supervisors, doctors, counselors and others regarding the current status and progress of participants.
- · Review all direct care staff documentation to ensure compliance with county, state and federal guidelines.
- · Turning in documentation to the Home Office on time.
- · This includes responsibility for the activities of staff and the whereabouts of all clients under their supervision at all times and ensuring that required documentation (i.e. client notes, community based notes, administration records, client financial records, and vehicle logs, etc.) is completed in an accurate, thorough and timely manner.
- · Incumbents are on call twenty-four hours a day and must respond in a timely manner to unexpected events and/or emergencies with clients under their care.
- · The House Manager is also expected to provide direct client care as necessary. The House Manager is expected to perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and core values of Sisters Who Care LLC and comply with all Sisters Who Care LLC policies and procedures, OSHA, CMS, HIPPA, local, state, and federal, regulations.
- · Responsible for preventing client abuse by adhering to all policies and procedures, attending periodic training, reporting suspicious and inappropriate behavior, and following mandatory abuse reporting requirements
- · Complete administrative and clerical documentation including but not limited to: reviewing daily logs and notes detailing client activities supporting the approved Individual Support Plan (ISP)
- · Assures safe operation of all equipment in the house
- · Plan and organize daily activities in accordance with Individual Support Plan
- · Provides direct client care, including transportation, maintenance of household inventory, menu planning and preparation, etc.
- · Conduct Monthly Fire Drills. Turn in the Fire Drill Documentation.
- · Contact Maintenance when something in the home needs repaired.
- · Complete grocery shopping.
- · Keep a log of receipts for any shopping done.
- Ancillary Job Functions
- · Compile monthly documentation.
- · Manage coverage for overnight, weekend, and after-hours emergencies by serving in an on-call rotation.
- · Perform other related duties as assigned.
- · This person is also responsible for carrying out the responsibilities and duties of the Direct Support Professional during all direct service shifts, according to Individualized Service Plans (ISP), as well as any addenda to this job description.
- · Attending ISP meetings.
- · Attending 10 am daily standup call with owners.
