PURPOSE
The Governance - Project Management, Quality, and Knowledge role is a senior position within our organisation. The successful candidate will oversee critical governance areas, including project management, quality assurance, and knowledge development. This individual will act as the main point of contact (SPOC) for Malta International Airport (MIA) and coordinate with local, global, and third-party teams to ensure successful project implementation, adherence to ISO standards, and continuous quality improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
- Oversee the successful implementation of projects from a local perspective, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and timelines.
- Work closely with the local team, global stakeholders, and third-party vendors to coordinate project deliverables.
- Serve as the key liaison between the organisation, MIA, and external parties to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify risks and manage mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Quality and Knowledge Management
- Act as the designated Quality Coordinator and SPOC for MIA, ensuring rigorous adherence to quality standards and practices.
- Oversee the execution and maintenance of ISO certifications and standards for the Malta branch.
- Regularly meet with MIA counterparts to assess quality performance, drive corrective actions, and propose process improvements.
- Develop Quality and Knowledge as foundational pillars by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Produce detailed progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Team Leadership
Manage and mentor a team of two professionals, ensuring alignment with strategic goals:
- ITSM Manager: Overseeing IT Service Management processes.
- Compliance, Certification, and Quality Control Specialist: Managing certifications, audits, and quality controls.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, setting clear goals and expectations for the team.
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, MIA representatives, and third-party vendors.
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of issues raised by stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, quality assurance, or governance roles
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies.
