Main Responsibilities
-
Near-term: Production Leadership – We’ll have you on a rotation to oversee triage and troubleshoot for all production issues within critical systems (OMS, Counts, EMP, ECS) to accelerate your familiarity with our ecosystem, enabling you to bring a strong pov regarding how we Engineer our future state.

Longer-term: Build Cool Stuff – Use what you’ve learned to lead development efforts for the next great version of Site Impact.

Team Management: Provide mentorship and guidance to mid-level and junior Production Engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and operational standards.

Incident Coordination: Serve as the primary escalation point for high-severity incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams to restore normal operations swiftly.

Client Communication: Communicate with clients throughout the incident management lifecycle, providing timely updates and ensuring client satisfaction.

Best Practices & Standards: Establish and implement standards for incident response, code deployments to production, and ongoing system maintenance.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA, and Development Directors to ensure alignment with project timelines and product strategy.

Reporting Structure: The team will have a direct reporting line to the VP of Technology, with dotted lines to the CPO and CTO to ensure alignment with product strategy, companywide initiatives, and overarching technological vision.
Required Experience
-
7 years of relevant experience in Production Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.

Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in urgent, high-pressure environments.

Deep understanding of web application stacks

Angular, Node.js, React.js, Vue.js
-
At least 2 years of experience with PHP MVC frameworks (Codeigniter, Laravel, Symphony, Yii, etc)

MySQL/MariaDB
-
Expertise with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (or equivalent cloud providers).

Familiarity with monitoring and alerting platforms (Datadog, ELK, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, Bitbucket, GitHub Actions).

Proficiency in incident management and root-cause analysis in distributed systems.

Experience with containerization (Docker) and scripting or automation tools.

Experience with PagerDuty or other alerting/Escalation tools
Preferred Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Background in digital marketing or B2B SaaS products.

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and advanced cloud services (BigQuery, Dataflow).

Experience implementing ITIL or other service management frameworks.
