SUMMARY
The Security Officer 2 is responsible for observing and reporting matters that pertain to the safety and security of Casino guests, team members, and company assets. The Officer will complete reports to accurately document incidents that occur during their shift and submit reports as instructed. Security Officer 2 must possess previous experience in Law Enforcement and or have knowledge of advanced Security practices. Other duties may include but are not limited to checking guests IDs, performing team member and guest escorts, assisting with issuance of guest flags and barring notices and assisting with the daily drop. The Security Officer 2 may participate in training of Security Officer 1.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforce Skokomish regulatory laws and requirements.
- Conduct incident reports
- Maintain constant vigilance to ensure the safety of customers, employees, and company property.
- Perform job duties in accordance with our internal controls, administrative policies, and standard security operating procedures.
- Access Tribal Lottery Systems’ (TLS) machines to perform money drops and assist customers.
- Meet attendance guidelines by reporting to work as scheduled with dependability and consistency.
- Represent the company in a positive manner, uphold our Core Values, and be respectful to all team members.
- Maintain professional dress standards and personal appearance as indicated in the Security policy manual.
- Other duties as assigned.
OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES
The Security Officer 2 ensures that all phases of security are adequate throughout the facility and reports such information to Security Management daily.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED equivalency required. Minimum of two years of security, loss prevention, emergency management, first responder/EMT, safety coordinator, and or CPR/AED certified instructor. Combinations of those positions may be considered. One year of previous experience in Tribal Law Enforcement, Military or Civilian Police preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Read, write, speak and understand English. Analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, analytical reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Organizational, interpersonal relation skills and a team-oriented attitude are required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic to advanced mathematical concepts as it pertains to accurate report writing.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications is preferred.
REASONING ABILITY
Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Class III Gaming License issued from the Skokomish Tribal Gaming Agency, and a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
