SUMMARY
The Park Security Officer ensures that all phases of security are adequate throughout the property and reports such information to the Designated Supervisor on a regular basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain constant vigilance to ensure the safety of customers, employees, and company property.
- Perform random, thorough, and specific security patrols both on foot and in provided transportation while keeping a written log of task and incidents.
- Possess the ability to enforce park rules in a professional and courteous manner while gaining guest compliance. Understand and implement verbal de-escalation to resolve conflicts.
- Patrol all parking areas, ensure vehicles have valid parking passes and parking is orderly to maximize the most vehicles for the parking area. Assist with traffic control as needed.
- Meet attendance guidelines by reporting to work as scheduled with dependability and consistency.
- Represent the company in a positive manner on and off duty.
- Maintain professional dress standards and personal appearance as dictated by the policy manual.
- Other duties as assigned.
OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES
Observe and report matters pertaining to the safety of customers, and employees. Inform and educate customers of park rules and regulations in a positive and explanatory manner. Provide physical backup to the designated supervisor when related to major violations.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; previous security, loss prevention, military or police experience is a pl
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Read, write, speak, and understand English. Analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, analytical reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Organizational, interpersonal relation skills and a team-oriented attitude are required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic to advanced mathematical concepts as it pertains to accurate report writing.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications is preferred.
REASONING ABILITY
Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License is required.
