Excavator Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators, and will be responsible for executing various tasks on construction sites. This role requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while working on diverse projects that may include digging, building, and site preparation.

Duties

• Operate excavators and other heavy machinery such as backhoes, bulldozers, and dump trucks to complete construction tasks.
• Perform digging and trenching operations while adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist in horizontal drilling and other specialized excavation tasks as required.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate work activities and ensure project timelines are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
• Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery on-site.

Requirements

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators and backhoes.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience operating water trucks and performing horizontal drilling is a plus.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

Pay: $19.43 - $22.00 per hour
