Seal & Shelter Assembler
Pay: $17.50-$18/hr (Based on Experience)
Shift: 2nd, (4pm-12:30am)
As a Seal & Shelter Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and crating rigid and padded seal and shelter products in a manufacturing setting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review production schedules and job cards to identify the products to be assembled.
- Perform covering operations, such as gluing foam, attaching hardware to boards, and gluing foam to create large pieces.
- Transport completed boards and sewed covers to the assembly area.
- Apply covers to foam and board, stretching and nailing the cover to the board.
- Attach hardware kits to boards and clean gluing equipment.
- Cut aluminum pipes, measure, and store or transport them to assembly areas.
- Assemble hoods, including adding pull-rope systems and necessary hardware.
- Assemble shelters by cutting wood and placing it in jigs, securing with nails/screws.
- Consult drawings for non-standard sizes and specifications.
- Drill holes in assembled frames, cut metal to size, and apply fiberglass.
- Prepare and pack assemblies for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and ensuring proper packaging.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area.
