Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to guide construction activities effectively.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for testing electrical systems as needed.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate project scheduling to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
- Manage a team of construction workers, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary.
- Utilize software such as Bluebeam for project documentation and collaboration.
- Collaborate with project managers to discuss progress, challenges, and resource needs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and labor hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline construction processes and techniques.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Familiarity with quality control practices in construction projects.
- Experience with project scheduling tools such as Primavera is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
