SUMMARY
The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the adequacy of security measures throughout the facility and reporting to the Lead Security Supervisor or Security Manager on a regular basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforce Skokomish regulatory laws and requirements.
- Complete and file Security Incident Reports to the Security Manager.
- Maintain constant vigilance to ensure the safety of customers, employees, and company property.
- Keep job duties in compliance with internal controls to prevent security staff from performing functions which are incompatible with Casino operations.
- Access Tribal Lottery Systems (TLS) machines to perform money drops and assist customers.
- Meet attendance guidelines by reporting to work as scheduled with dependability and consistency.
- Represent the company in a positive manner.
- Maintain professional dress standards and personal appearance as dictated by the policy manual.
- Other duties as assigned.
OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Observe and report matters pertaining to the safety of customers and employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
- Minimum of one year of security experience.
- One year of previous experience in Tribal Law Enforcement, Military or Civilian Police preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Read, write, speak and understand English.
- Analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, analytical reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Basic to advanced mathematical concepts as it pertains to accurate report writing.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications is preferred.
REASONING ABILITY
- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Class III Gaming License issued from the Skokomish Tribal Gaming Agency, and a valid Washington State Drivers License.
